To Affiliates re: Wildspeak 10-28
I am sure that by now, you know of our upcoming WiLDSpeak event in DC, on Monday, November 16. A symposium on photography, conservation and communications that aims to inform about best practices and lessons learned in the use of visual media in conservation campaigns. It’s a tall order, but we have a fantastic lineup of speakers and NGO and media partners who will be presenting on panels. You can see schedule of the day’s presentations HERE.
As for the audience, we will have more than 20 Fellows attending and already have registrants from the Africa Wildlife Foundation, Galapagos Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation, National Geographic, World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Island Conservation, FrakTracker Alliance, Defenders of Wildlife, Pew Charitable Trusts, Smithsonian Institution, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to name just a few. We also have registrants from camera/photo clubs and from our product sponsors of course: Nikon, Cognisys, Voltaic Systems, and Lowepro.
It will be a great gathering of thoughtful minds coming together to explore the role of visual media in conservation and I sincerely hope that you, or other representatives from your organization can join us. As I’ve noted in previous emails, there is a special 45% discount for Fellows and Affiliates, so please use it! Enter the code WS2015*iLCP after selecting your ticket option HERE, on the event registration page.
Last, I hope that you can help us publicize this event. We want to have a full audience that includes people of all walks of life, many different backgrounds, and represent lots of different organizations. So, I am asking that you share information about this event with your friends, colleagues, and partners who love conservation, love photography, love our planet, or all three!
