In Hot Water

Peter Mather

Salmon need to spawn at in very specific temperature ranges. As our creeks get hotter, this devastates salmon spawning. However, salmon are adaptable, and have begun showing up in Arctic Rivers, as they search for cold spawning grounds, where they have never been seen before, but they need time to adapt. If we can slow and halt global warming, it gives wildlife like salmon time to adapt and adjust.
