After studying ecology at university, I worked for several picture agencies and freelanced as a picture researcher with various magazines before spending three years living in East Africa working as a photographer mainly with NGOs.

In 2016 I took up the role as Picture Editor on BBC Wildlife Magazine. I’m responsible for showcasing the strongest, most innovative and compelling wildlife images. Over the years, I’ve developed relationships with photographers all over the globe and am always trying to keep tabs on who is doing what at any particular time. I enjoy working with a rosta of experienced and very talented conservation photographers; however I’m also constantly on the lookout for new visual storytellers.

BBC Wildlife is one of the most respected and long-standing natural history publications in the world. We strive to consistently connect readers with topical and fascinating stories from the world of natural history, from current news stories to deeper dives into animal behaviour. Imagery is always at the forefront of our storytelling.
