For the past 12 years Ben has been a natural history photographer, primarily focused in the boreal forests of Minnesota. He is pursuing a life-long project documenting the boreal forest's rich and unique ecosystems and the imminent threats they face from human pressures. He has partnered with NGOs and many biologists to capture the environmental issues and the human component of this story. He not only wants to illustrate the landscape and wildlife of this area, but the work being done to help the ecosystem as it adapts to a rapidly changing climate. He has a bachelors in biology with an emphasis in ecology.
